Assalamua'laikum & Hello everyone!

I'm sure millions of people are getting excited about jailbreaking their iDevices especially the New iPad owners after waiting for so long.

Warning!: Users who depends on unlock, please stay away from this jailbreak.

Devices that are compatible for iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak includes:

  1. iPhone 4S
  2. iPhone 4
  3. iPhone 3GS
  4. iPad (3rd gen)
  5. iPad 2
  6. iPad 1
  7. iPod touch 3rd gen
  8. iPod touch 4th gen
  9. Apple TV 2nd gen
Not compatible with iPad 2,4 (new released iPad 2 by Apple this year).

Here's a few steps that you might need to know before jailbreaking your device.

  1. Do backup your iDevices before jailbreak on iTunes. It's always better safe than sorry. Learn how here.
  2. You need to unable your lock passcode before jailbreak.
  3. Download Absinthe 2.0.1 from here.
  4. Learn how to jailbreak here. Redmonpie.
Here's the video for you to watch on how to jailbreak using Absinthe 2.0:

If you've already jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 tethered before, do download Rocky Racoon at Cydia. Read more, here:

For Windows user, can have a look on this video, 'How to use Absinthe 2.0 on Windows':

Cydia on iPhone4S

It's jailbroken!!!

What do you need to install on Cydia?

Like usual (refer to my old post how to add sources) , you need the same sources of repo:
  1. http://cydia.hackulo.us/
  2. http://cydia.xsellize.com/
Why xsellize?

The only reason for using xsellize is to download paid apps on Cydia for free. :)

What are the packages (please tap search button) that you need to install in Cydia by using those repos:
  1. Activator
  2. AppSync for iOS 5.0+
  3. Hands-Free Control (for Siri on iPhone4S)
  4. iFile
  5. Installous 4
  6. OmniStat for Notification Centre
  7. Repo Icons
  8. Springtomize 2 - iOS 5+
Of course, different people will have different things to put on their iDevices. These are what I usually do on my iPhone 4S. Too much tweaks may slow down your iDevices.

Do google or watch YouTube on how those packages function on your iDevices.

Read more about best jailbreak apps here for iPhone4S and here for iPad.

Activator Setting

Here's my personal setting for Activator. Hey, it works great for me!
Go to Setting and scroll down for Activator.

Tap anywhere

Scroll down until you see Slide Gesture & Tap Screen Bottom

Then set it to Activate Switcher

Next is to set up the gesture you can do on Status Bar
Scroll down until you see Status Bar
Set it for Double Tap, Swipe Right & Swipe Left

Double Tap for Compose Tweet
(if you have Twitter account and like to tweet much on Twitter)

Swipe Left for Sleep button

Swipe Right for Home button

Last but not least, don't ever forget to save your SHSH using TinyUmbrella. It's very important in case you accidentally update your iOS firmware and need to downgrade the iOS firmware.

Let me know what did you do on your iDevices on comment section below. And do share this tutorial with others by clicking the like button at the heading. :)

Happy jailbreaking everybody!

p/s: Do pray for my Medical Pro exam in June 2012. Thank you very much. Gotta go and study!
